Yesterday I graduated FIT! I still can’t believe it! I’m so proud of all of my Jewelry girls! The ceremony took forever but I’ve got a couple of cute pictures from after. I love that our whole group cheered for every single person in it when their names were called. To the point where we couldn’t actually hear the people’s names being called! I’m going to miss constantly being surrounded by such a talented, lovely and supportive group of girls. =/ At the same time, I know they’re all bound for greatness and I want only the best for them!
My friend Kat got me tickets for last night’s The Maine & Augustana co-headlining tour with Austin Gibbs as a graduation gift. Quite possibly the best concert I’ve ever been to. I can’t even tell you how long I’ve been waiting to see Augustana live! They didn’t disappoint at all! Same with Austin Gibbs. He’s always so lively and fun to watch (that sounded more creeper than I mean it). I wasn’t all that impressed with The Maine’s performance. I’ve seen them do better at festivals. Then again, maybe it was just because of how much fun I had during Augustana’s set that it was a letdown? Needless to say, my voice is shot today from screaming so much during Augustana’s set.
Now, I’m off to the airport and heading to Seattle! I’ll post pictures from the graduation (I didn’t take any during the concert) and probably some from Seattle at some point.
All good! I don't like planning things anyway. If you have some time off just let me know... if it works out, great! If not, well, I guess I'll be in Jersey next month... haha
Awesome! What will you be in NJ for? If you’re anywhere by me I can also give you a tour. Though, Jersey sucks so there won’t be too much to show. Maybe my hatred for this state would make me a really shitty tour guide, but I can try! Haha
You should find out and let me know! What are you going to be doing at the Westin?
There is a SNAG (Society of North American Goldsmiths) conference being held at the Westin from the 26th until the 30th. Basically, a bunch of people talking about pretty shiny things. I’m using it as a way to network and hopefully, maybe, possibly get some work out of it. Apparently they end around 7 every night giving us plenty of time to go around and check out Seattle. I’m pretty excited about that seeing as I’ve never been. It is, however, on the list of places that I’m considering moving to in the future so I’ll have a chance to check it out. Hopefully its the first of many trips to Seattle!
Mom @6:28pm: Have you been "raptured" yet? Because I'm still here. Oh well.
Me:Glad to hear it. We aren't in the clear yet thought.
Me:According to Kat he changed from now to October 21st
Mom:No- this was the deal: Those who are eligible get to rapture today. The rest will suffer until Oct 21 when the world really ends. A bit of a prolonged scenario to get the maximum sensation, I guess. Are you suffering yet?
Me:*sent a picture of a really large ominous looking cloud* Shit. Maybe he wasn't kidding?!
Me:I think I've been selected, the arm I broke is killing me. How does the Hail Mary go again?
Mom:Waah! That's the moisture in the air that's getting to you. Full of grace..
And in chemistry class I was talking to my friend, Jack, about a gay pride festival I went to. My teacher, stupid nosy bitch, decides she wants to join in on the conversation. She asks me what I’m talking about so I turned around and her reaction was to make a noise of utter disgust. She asked me to go to the main office and get a different shirt. But being the rebel that I am, I told her very politely “no, if you don’t like it you don’t have to look at it. It’s my shirt, not yours, and there’s nothing wring with it.” She told me again that I needed to change my shirt. I said again that I wasn’t and she told me she would have to send me to my administrator for direct disrespect. So I put on a big smile and packed my stuff up while she wrote the discipline report up.
But the thing that made me so happy that I didn’t give in and change was that as I was walking out the door a girl in my class stood up and started to walk with me. My teacher was kinda pissed and told her that she would get a write up if she didn’t sit down. And this girl, she is my fucking hero. She says: “Write me up then. It’s one more story that I can go home and tell my mothers. And I’m sure my girlfriend would love to hear it, too.” Then she smiled and walked out. I just felt the need to share what happened today with my lovely followers.
Good for both these people! They did nothing wrong. I’ve never understood why people see it as “wrong” if someone is gay. As long as they’re happy who cares?! Which is so much more than you can say about most straight couples! As a teacher, she should be penalized for her actions. As a person, she’s just plain ignorant.
Don't stop replying! I read them all, haha. I would respond more often, but responding to replies is weird... if that makes sense....
It makes plenty of sense. Then again, I’ve had a very strong margarita the size of two plus two shots of tequila tonight so I don’t know if I’ll feel the same way about this tomorrow, but as of right now, I totally get it!
